We've been asked to fill a cleaning assignment at the Layton Temple on September 30 from 9:00 am. - 12:00 pm. This is a great opportunity to serve and feel the spirit of the temple in a unique way.
Here are the instructions provided by the temple related to the assignment:
All volunteers must be in good standing and are required to have a current Temple Recommend.
Wear church apparel when entering the temple.
White scrubs for working will be provided by the temple.
Park in the South or West parking areas.
Enter Temple from the west entrance.
Volunteers should scan in their Temple Recommend and sign-in for their shift.
Pick-up white scrubs at the bottom of the stairs on the west side and change clothing in
the Ordinance Workers Locker Rooms (also located in the basement) for brethren or
sisters.
Once dressed in white scrubs, please proceed to Instruction Room #2 in the basement where cleaning instructions will be given by a member of the Temple staff.
The scope of work will include vacuuming, dusting, climbing stairs (elevators are
available), wearing a backpack vacuum, dust and spot mopping and other general
cleaning. Minimal lifting will be required. Volunteers should expect some bending or
kneeling.
Each assignment will typically be completed in approximately 2 ½ hours.
There is no age restriction, but volunteers must have received their own endowment.
Cleaning equipment and supplies are provided by the Temple. Please do not bring any
cleaning supplies from home.Volunteers need to have a current temple recommend. Those with limited-use recommends are not invited to participate in this assignment.
